There are plenty of traditional things to wear to a holiday party (little black dress, sequins, velvet, etc), but I like the idea of thinking outside of the box. What about a bright floral bow blouse layered under a dress? It's classy but still a bit unexpected, which would make it perfect for an office party. Pair it with a neutral dress if you're feeling more demure or a bright dress like this if you want to really stand out! Then wear it to work all year long tucked into some wide leg trousers. Don't be afraid to buy holiday clothes that work for all seasons. Some of my favorite things in my closet can be dressed up or dressed down depending on the situation. I'm all about thinking about the re-wearability of something before I buy it!
